Ecological museum of apples and cider

In a brick and flint building dating from the 16th Century, Mr and Mrs Godefroy present for your enjoyment a collection of old tools (presses, stills, corking tools, etc.) allowing you to discover the history of cider-making in the Pays de Caux..
In an orchard illustrated by the use of teaching panels, you can learn all about cider apples and then in the cellar they will explain to you their production techniques, which are totally traditional
Finally after your mouth has been watering for almost one hour, you will have the pleasure of being invited to sample their products.

Le Valaine Cheese production

In the exceptional setting of the Manoir de Cateuil, built in the reign of Louis XIV, this farm of some 20 hectares is located at Etretat, on the famous cliffs.

Agnès and Bernard Dherbécourt will give you the opportunity to discover in the course of a guided tour, their animals, their enterprise and its secrets.
You will learn everything about their specialties, traditional and natural products:
The farmer's goats cheese « Le Valaine », the « Les Capr’Ice » ice creams and also « Les Chocolats du Valaine » which are a really surprising and pleasurable novelty, Le Valaine's Home-made Cider and their goats' terrine with Calvados.

The flax shop-window

The flax shop-window at Bretteville du grand Caux (next to Goderville)
 

Located in part of an 18th Century dwelling that consists of a tumbledown old building that is typical of the Pays de Crux, there is a free display dedicated to the growing of flax right from the seed to the linen material itself, a product of an automated industry, the flax unfurls all of its facets. There are several component samples of this plant shown in this room (tow, oakum, seeds, etc.). It is possible also to buy linen or linen-based products: wall coverings, material by the metre, house or table linen, linen scented products, birthday presents, etc.)
